Golf Legend Greg Norman Hospitalized with Covid-19

Greg Norman, 65 year old Australian Golf Legends Contracts Covid-19.

On Saturday Dec 19, 2020 Greg Norman and his son Greg Norman Jr, participated in the Father-Son PNC Championship Golf Tournament in Orlando, FL.    You had to be tested with Negative results prior to being allowed to play, according to tournament rules.

After the tournament was over, on Tuesday, Dec 22, 2020 Norman was tested again.  Test results came back Wednesday Dec 23rd as Negative.  However, Thursday, Christmas Eve 2020, Norman started getting flu-like symptoms.  As the day progressed and the symptoms got worst, Norman called his physician who recommended he go to the hospital.

On Friday, Christmas day, Dec 25th, Greg Norman found himself in a hospital bed at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Palm Beach, FL

Pictured here to the right is a picture of Greg Norman in the hospital that he posted on his Instagram Account.  Although Norman has always been a fit man and had what he considered a high tolerance for pain, he wrote on his Instagram ” this virus kicked the crap out of me like nothing I have ever experienced before.”

“Muscle and joint pain on another level. Headaches that feel like a chisel going through your head scraping little bits off each time, fever, muscles that just did not want to work like yesterday walking my dog Apollo my quads and hip flexors just did not want to work due to fatigue.

“Then my taste failed where beer tastes bad and wine the same. And finally at times struggling with memory of names and things. Then there is irritation.”

“So please take care. And for those doubters out there, do not judge or cast unwarranted comments and opinions I would not want anyone, even you, to experience this hideous virus,” he said.

“So I ask, do what is right, not just for you, but your family, friends, co-workers and other people around. I am luckier than most and for that I am thankful and blessed. Also the world is blessed and science has acted and performed like never before in getting a vaccine/s for all to eventually receive. Thank you to those people. We need to get our world back in healthy harmony so we can get healthy economically and prosperously with millions and millions people getting their lives back.

“God bless those infected and who may fall unwittingly to this virus. My prayers and thoughts go out to you all. Once out of here today back to quarantine.”

Greg Norman was released from the hospital on Sunday, Dec 27th and sent back home to quarentine.  On Monday the 28th, Norman was back in the hospital getting Antibody Infusions.

Why Golf Is The Ultimate Business Tool

golfSome people think that golf is no longer considered as an effective business tool. Even though the participation has decreased in the past few years, there are still 25 million golf players in USA and that figure is not actually a small number.

You will be more impressed with these numbers if you consider how many sports stars, top CEOs, entrepreneurs, and celebrities who are avid golfers. About 90% of Fortune 500 CEOs play golf as have nearly all US presidents ever since Ike. Additionally, business executives who play golf tend to make an average of 17% more than those who do not.

Business golf is thriving. If you want your career or business to improve, you need to get in on the action.

Face Time

Is there any place where you can spend four quality hours with your valued customer or company CEO? A lot of people have extremely busy schedules and they are lucky enough to get five minutes of free time. There is just no other sport that can provide the amount of quiet time between shots and spend it talking about things and exploring mutual interests.

Serene Surroundings

Instead of staying in the office, why don’t you plan a meeting with your client in a place that is surrounded by sand, nature, and water? This will make a more friendly and relaxed environment where you can do business with without too much distractions.

Tips For Playing Golf In Cold Weather

golfResidents of South Carolina as well as Florida know for a fact that there are some golfers who stick to the 50 degree rule. It simply means that if it is not at least 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside then there’s no way they would play in any golf course.

But for those who live in Myrtle Beach and have participated in late fall junior golf tournaments as well as early spring high school matches, the 50 degree rule means a different thing. The temperature during the days of competition hardly ever reach 50 degrees.

Given that, these golf players can tolerate playing golf even during chilly winds and biting cold outside. Golfers in Connecticut can even tee it up two days during Thanksgiving week. Some of them even encourage fair weather golfers to try expanding their temperature tolerances. Some of the reasons why they should do so are provided below:

Price

The shoulder as well as the off seasons at golf courses mean significantly reduced green fees. A lot of golf courses will offer big discounts to those who play in November, which encourages lots of hardy golf players to play on a budget.

When To Book Your Golf Package

golf packageThis has been and always will be a topic of discussion among Myrtle Beach golfers. When is the best time to take a golf trip? Winter? Spring? Summer? Fall? Maybe somewhere in between? In part one of this article we will discuss the pros and cons of the Winter and Spring seasons in the Myrtle Beach area.

Let me just get this out there. A lot of guys want to know when the rainy season is upon us. Bluntly, there isn’t one. Being by the ocean, there is no telling when a disturbance might pop up. If there is snow in the Northeast, it may rain here, it may not. If there is a hurricane aimed at Florida, it may rain here, it may not. This is true for much of the Southeast.

Now, when do you want to visit Myrtle Beach for some much anticipated golf? Let’s start with the winter. For most of you, it’s cold and probably snowing where you live in the winter. Guess what, it’s warmer here. It rarely snows. In fact, if it were to snow, just a dusting, the schools shut down and the National Guard may make an appearance. If you have the urge to get out and play, look at Myrtle Beach. The rates are at the cheapest of the year, the weather is playable, and not many people are on the courses. There are a couple different rate periods in the winter.

There aren’t many cons about the winter here in Myrtle Beach. The main problem that guys run into is travel. You all know how the airlines are with delays, cancellations, etc. You all know what happens when I – 95 closes. If you do book a trip and have travel problems, let your golf director know immediately. I guess the biggest con to Myrtle Beach in the winter is that since not many people are in town, the bars and nightlife are in a slow period. But, you should be here for golf anyway, right?

Don’t Get The Power For The Swing From The Muscles In Your Wrist, Hands, and Forearms

If you use this small muscles, your swing and your club will get out of the sync and rhythm. The larger slow twitch muscles fibers of your body are much more dependable when placed under pressure. They offer the consistency you require to hit more shots with better accuracy on the fairway and green. If your swing is slow, the ball will go fast. Even if you feel out of control, you still remain in control.
