How to Plan a Myrtle Beach Golf Package
(October, 15 2007)Planning a golf
package in Myrtle Beach can be an overwhelming experience, especially if
you have not planned one before. It can be made easy, or it can turn into
a hassle really quick if you are not careful. Here are some pointers from
Myrtle Beach Golf Directors that will help you to plan a great Myrtle Beach
golf package with very little hassle.
First, meet with the
golfers and find out how much everyone is willing to spend. Not everybody has
the same budget, but that doesn’t mean that everybody can’t have
a great time. To some, Myrtle Beach golf packages can get expensive very quickly,
but, they don’t have to. There are several ways to keep the cost of your
trip down. Myrtle Beach Golf Directors gets wholesale rates from all of the
courses in Myrtle Beach as well as numerous accommodations. Unless you own
your own condo, house, or time-share, try to book your accommodations along
with your golf. This is the way you will save time and money. If you do own
your own accommodation, we can help you with just the golf. Keep in mind that
some packagers do not include taxes or reservation fees in their quotes. Not
so for Myrtle Beach Golf Directors. All taxes and fees are included in all
quotes. If you have any questions at all, be sure to contact your Myrtle Beach
Golf Director.
Once you have decided
on a budget, the next thing to do is take into account the ability of your
golfers. Handicaps can play a major role in what your course selections might
be. You don’t want to have a 25 handicap playing a course with a slope
of 140, unless he wants to. Your Golf Director can help you to select courses
inside of your budget as well as your group’s skill level. Take some
time and do some research on course difficulty, price of courses and location
of courses in the Myrtle Beach area. This will get you ahead of the game.
Once you are ready to
book, be sure to ask any and all questions. That is what we are here for. By
this time, you should have received at least on quote from us (probably in
your e-mail). It is not necessary to have the quote in front of you, but it
will help.
If you are not sure
on how many golfers will be making the trip, it is a good idea to overbook
the package. It is easier to take away golfers than it is to add them in later.
Your price per golfer may change, but it is better safe than sorry.
Once you are booked,
keep in touch with all of the members in your group. Sometimes (when it is
crunch time) it can be very hard to get in touch with one or two of the guys.
Make sure you know of what their plans are prior to the trip. You need to always
have a way to stay in contact with them. You never know when problems might
arise.
Also, when you get everything
booked, go over your confirmation. Make sure everything is correct. If something
is overlooked, and/or there is a mistake, contact us immediately. There is
nothing worse than having something go wrong on a golf package.
Hopefully this will
get you started in the right direction. We, here at Myrtle Beach Golf Directors,
are here to assist you in getting the best golf vacation for your money (and
kudos for you from the group). We are all golfers here and are able to use
our knowledge for your benefit. These are just a few tips on booking your Myrtle
Beach Golf Package. Hit ‘em good!
