Hard Rock Park
Myrtle Beach’s Newest Attraction
Myrtle
Beach has something that no other resort city in the nation has: Hard Rock
Park. This is the world’s first rock ‘n roll theme park. The
attraction opened in early May and is sure to be rockin’ for a long
time to come. There are over 50 different things to do including roller
coasters, an amphitheater seating 10,000 for concerts, and shows, play
areas for the kids, restaurants, bars, cafes and retail stores featuring
all that is rock ‘n roll.
This is
the first major theme park built in the United States in nearly a decade. There
are new technologies in place for the world class rides that are sure to rock
your socks off! The feature ride is the Led Zepplin which you can see from
all over central Myrtle Beach and even several golf courses.
Hard Rock
Park was designed with families in mind. There are six different themed locations
such as “The British Invasion”, “Rock and Roll Heaven” and “Cool
Country” just to name a few. In each themed locale, there are areas for
kids, restaurants, cafes shopping and so on. Each location is inspired by each
king of genre. The family can enjoy the day at the park together instead of
going their separate ways like at other theme parks operate.
The park
is located here in Myrtle Beach, just off of highway 501 and highway 17 bypass,
so it is in a great location. It is only about 3 miles from the beach, so you
can enjoy the beach in the morning and rock your tan at Hard Rock later that
afternoon. Or, for you golfers, there are about 20 courses within 15 minutes
of the park. Now you can show off your golfers’ tan! The park is about
55 acres large that will accommodate approximately 30,000 guests and cost about
$400 Million to build. Daily ticket prices are $50 per guest with children
under 3 free. Yearly passes are available for $150. Concerts and shows are
included in the price, unless there is a special event. Parking is $10 for
each vehicle and the yearly pass holder park for free. Hard Rock starts rockin’ at
10am and will close as late as 1am with other hours based on special events.
