• Hole #8 | West Course- Tom Perry

  The 8th on Thistle’s West Course is an uphill par 4, with no room for any kind of a slice off the tee. A dense tree line runs the entire length of the right side of the hole. Having the tee-box way over on the right side forces you to hit your drive left, to the widest part of the fairway. The hole is 340 yards, but plays longer due to the elevation from tee-green. A huge fairway bunker on the right side can save you from the trees and OB, but makes for a long shot to the green. There is mounding along the entire left side of the hole filled with heather grasses and wildflowers. Greenside bunkers left and right are always in play, but the green is huge with not much undulation. Every hole at Thistle is great but, this hole will definitely catch your eye.
